Méliane Etien-Usher
Associate Lawyer
Méliane was born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, where she spent most of her life. Growing up, she also lived in New York City, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Accra, Ghana.
Méliane moved to Toronto, Canada in 2007 to pursue a Bachelors in Linguistics and Languages Studies along with a certificate in Law and Social Thought. She obtained both diplomas in 2011 from Glendon College, York University.
After working for 3 years in Media Relations/Public Relations and 2 years for a couple of not-for-profit organizations, Méliane moved to the Nation’s Capital to pursue her legal studies in 2016. She graduated from the Common Law and Civil Law sections of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa in 2019.
Méliane was called to the Ontario bar in 2020.
Prior to joining LMS Personal Injury Lawyers, Méliane completed her articles at a mid-size full-service firm in the National Capital, where she was able to explore and acquire experience in various areas of law, namely litigation, commercial litigation, real estate, wills & estate, and corporate.
Méliane is fluently bilingual and is proud to offer her services in both official languages.
When Méliane is away from the office, she enjoys traveling abroad (18 countries and counting), spending time with her family, boot camp training, and reading historical fiction novels.
